Purpose and legislative effect
“"Minister" means the Minister for the time being responsible for finance.”

Section to sign the agreement; and The Minister may, on behalf of the Government, raise loans by creating and issuing securities subject to terms the Minister considers fit, and those securities' principal and interest and issuance costs are charged on and paid out of the Consolidated Fund. Gives the corporation the right to import goods free of customs duty. This Act applies despite the provisions of specified East African Community Acts (East African Customs and Transfer Tax Management Act; East African Income Tax Management Act) or any East African Community Act that amends or replaces them.
