Nabongho Ibrahim v Uganda (Criminal Appeal No. 84 of 2021) [2025] UGSC 21 (4 July 2025)

The Supreme Court held that the allegation of torture affecting the voluntariness of the confession was not raised at trial and was therefore an afterthought. The trial judge conducted a trial within a trial, and both the trial and appellate courts found no evidence of torture or coercion.
