Murangira v Attorney General (Constitutional Petition No. 7 of 2014) [2017] UGCC 2 (20 November 2017)

The Constitutional Court found that Parliament, by adopting and passing item 29 of the PAC report and its recommendations into resolutions, contravened Articles 2, 79(3), and 128(1)-(4) of the Constitution. This action amounted to unconstitutional interference with judicial independence and usurpation of judicial powers, violating the doctrine of separation of powers.
