Chatur v Attorney General & Anor (Civil Suit No. 509 of 1992) [1994] UGHC 32 (21 October 1994)

The court held that the Expropriated Properties Act 1982 applies to properties abandoned by Ugandan citizens of Asian extraction during the 1972 expulsion, and vested in the D.A.P.C.B. for management. The sale to the 2nd Defendant was nullified by section 1(2)(a) of the Act, and the property was rightfully returned to the plaintiff.
